Inspired by the Salvadoran myth of La Siguanaba.. a creature who takes the shape of a woman crying in the night time and lures men to drown them to their death. There's a thread of her in each culture.. of the bad or evil woman.. similar to the myth of Lilith who killed her own children, La Siguanaba cries for the pain in her heart of losing her children. This song is also linked to the struggle of immigrant mothers, who are forced in many ways to leave their children behind. But always, there's a thread of hope.
